ANGELS SING ©2008 Larry Suess

I . I go out in the wind, I go out in the storm, just to hear the angels sing

And in spite of the weather it keeps me warm just to hear the angels sing

CHORUS:

They’re singing of love, they’re singing of peace

On voices that echo through the trembling leaves

And no matter my sorrow, my spirits will rise just to hear the angels sing

II. I tried to tell others of the wonders I found when I heard the angels sing

And though some tried to listen, they heard not a sound when I heard the angels sing

They thought I’d gone crazy, right out of my mind

They told me to stay in and leave them behind

But no matter my sorrow, my spirits will rise just to hear the angels sing

BRIDGE:

I met her one morning when a nor’easter blew with the blustery promise of spring

With her head to the rain she was humming a tune and it had a familiar ring

I said, “Where did you find such a beautiful song?”

She said, “When angels are singing I just join along,

And no matter my sorrow, my spirits will rise just to hear the angels sing.”

FINAL CHORUS:

They’re singing of love, they’re singing of peace,

On voices that echo through the trembling leaves

And no matter our sorrow, our spirits will rise, just to hear the angels sing.

TAG: Just to hear the angels sing (repeat)
